Team Ontario U14 Head Coach Joseph Joncas to lead 2027 Off-Season Training
The Peterborough Wolverines are excited to announce an incredible opportunity for all football players in the area.
This winter, Coach Joseph Joncas, the current Head Coach of Team Ontario's U14 Tackle Program, will join the Peterborough Wolverines as our 2027 Guest Coach to lead our 10-week Off-Season Training Program.
Joe brings a unique combination of elite-level coaching experience, sports education, and deep local football roots. A proud Cavan Monaghan native, Joe grew up playing football in our community, beginning his football journey with the Kinsmen Minor Football League's South Steelers before continuing his development with St. Peter Catholic Secondary School, the Oshawa Hawkeyes, and York University.
His football journey has come full circle, returning him to the same community where it all started. Joe has spent years investing back into local athletes and helping grow the game in the Peterborough and Kawartha region. He previously coached with the Peterborough Wolverines from 2012–2018, helping build the foundation of our organization, and we are excited to welcome him back to continue that impact with the next generation of Wolverines players.
Joe is the owner of Attack The Moment Training Systems and has become one of the most respected football development coaches in Ontario. His background in athlete development is supported by his education, including a Bachelor of Science Honours degree in Sports Studies from the University of the West of England and a Fitness & Health Promotion diploma from Fleming College. This combination of football experience, sport science knowledge, and practical training experience allows Joe to take a complete approach to developing athletes.
Over the last decade, Joe has helped develop 13 U SPORTS athletes, three CFL Draft selections, and an NCAA Division I scholarship athlete. His experience spans community football, high school programs, provincial teams, U SPORTS, and international football.
Joe has been part of the Football Ontario pathway for nearly a decade, serving as General Manager of the Men's U18 Tackle Program from 2022–2024 and helping lead the program to a 2024 National Championship. Following that success, he moved into the provincial U14 program and currently serves as the Head Coach of Team Ontario's U14 Tackle Program.
This combination of local experience, high-level coaching, education, and proven athlete development makes Joe the perfect person to lead our 2027 Wolverines Off-Season Training Program.
