Wolverines OFC Runner-ups!

The Peterborough Wolverines Bantams Football team lost to the Burlington Stampeders 49-19 in the OFC Championship on Saturday at McMaster University's Ron Joyce Stadium in Hamilton.   The Wolverines played hard and put forth a great effort aganist possibly the strongest bantam age team in the province who have dominated the OFC Bantam Division by winning the title in five of the last six years.

The Wolverives started the scoring on an exciting 75 yard fumble return for a TD by Dawson Puk.   Dawson was named the games's most valuable defensive player as he also recorded 11 tackles on defense.   Scoring for the Wolverines were Dawson Puk, Cameron Gilmore and Keegan Crough with one TD each.   Keegan also had one convert kick.

Ramsay Conference Championship Results

On Saturday the Wolverines Bantams and Jr. Varsity football teams hosted the Ramsay Conference Championships at the TASS Field. The Bnatams were victorious in a 44-6 contest with the Huronia Stallions and are now the Ramsay Conference Bantam Champions. They will travel to Hamilton next Saturday, August 9th. to face the Dittmer Conference Champions for the OFC Title in a 11 am game at the Ron Joyce Stadium at McMaster University.

Wolverines Playoff Results Round #1

On Saturday the Wolverines Bantams and Jr. Varsity teams were victoroius in their first round of playoffs as they continue their drive towards the OFC Championships. The Bantams defeated the Clarington Knights 57-3 and the JV's eliminated the Oakville Titans 52-23. Both Wolverines teams remain undeated at 9-0 and will host division rivals in the Ramsay Conference Championship games this Saturday August 2nd. at TASS. The winner will go to Hamilton on August 9th. for the OFC Championship. It has been confirmed that the OFC Championships will be held at the Ron Joyce Staduim at McMaster University in Hamilton.

Wolverines Results Week #8

In the final week of their OFC regular season the Wolverines Jr. Varsity and Bantam teams remain undefeated with 8-0 records. The Sr. Varsity finish their season with a 3-5 record. The Jr. Varsity team travelled to Barrie on Friday night and defeated the Huronia Stallions 49-13. The Bantams visited North Halton on Sunday and defeated the Crimson Tide 73-7. The Sr. Varsity team were in Barrie on Saturday and lost to the Stallions 52-7.

Wolverines Results Week #7

This past weekend two of the three Wolverines teams were sucessful in securing the top seed positions in their respective OFC divisions as they continue their goal of winning their Ramsay Conference and advancing to Hamilton to play the Dittmer Conference Champions for the OFC Championships in August. By securing the top spots they will now be able to host the first round playoff games at the TASS Field on Saturday July 26th. Opponents and game times are yet to be determined.
