It was a great day for all three Wolverines football teams as they hosted three strong and aggressive opponents at the TAS Field on Saturday. The Wolverines were victorious in all three games with the Bantams starting the day by winning their first game of the season in defeating previously unbeaten Hamilton Jr. Tiger cats 27-26. The Jr. Varsity Wolverines defeated the Sudbury Gladiators 44-7 and the Sr. Varsity Wolverines were able to hand the Gladiators their first lost 37-17.

Wolverines 2016 Week #2 Results

All three Wolverines football teams travelled to Toronto on Sunday to face the Vaughn Rebels at York University. The Wolverines were able to return home winning two of the three games. The Bantams were defeated 55-7 by the Bantam Rebels who are the top team in the Ramsay Bantam division. The Jr. Varsity Wolverines were able to come from behind to edge the Rebels 25-23 and the Sr. Varsity Wolverines were able to dominate the Rebels 32-8.

Cogeco TV to Air 3 Wolverines Games in 2016

TCogeco TVhe Wolverines are pleased to announce that arrangements have been made with COGECO TV to air three of the Wolverines upcoming games.   The following games will be shown on Cogeco TV:

  • Jr. Varsity Wolverines Vs. Forest City | July 2nd | Kickoff at 2pm
  • Bantam Wolverines Vs. Chatham | July 16 | Kickoff at 2pm
  • Varsity Wolverines Vs. Burlington | July 23 | Kickoff at 5pm

The Wolverines will announce the air dates of those games once they become avaliable.

WOLVERINES OPEN OFC SEASON

The Peterborough Wolverines kicked off their 2016 OFC season by hosting the North Halton Crimson Tide on Saturday at the TAS field. All three games were hard fought between good aggressive teams at all three levels. In the Bantam contest the Crimson Tide outlasted the Wolverines 20-12. The Wolverines JV’s earned a hard fought 17-10 victory and the Wolverines SV’s prevailed 28-1 to close out week number 1.

Wolverines Pre-Season Football Jamboree | May 7

The Peterborough Wolverines three Rep Football teams have been very busy practicing and preparing for their upcoming Ontario Football Conference (OFC) season. The Wolverines will be participating in a pre-season Football Jamboree that will take place on Saturday May 7th when all three teams will travel to the Father Henry Carr Secondary School located at 1760 Martin Grove Road in the northwest Etobicoke area of Toronto.

All three teams, the Bantams, the Jr. Varsity and Sr. Varsity Wolverines will be facing three strong Toronto teams in a controlled scrimmage contest. Each team will face each of the other teams during their time frame. The Toronto teams are from Etobicoke , Brampton and Scarborough with the Bantams starting at 9 am, the JV’s at 11 am and ending with the SV’s at 1 pm.

The Wolverines coaches are looking forward to this Jamboree against three strong teams that will help them prepare and get ready to open the OFC season on Saturday May 28th when they will host the North Halton Crimson Tide at the TASS Field. The Wolverines look forward to another exciting and successful OFC season!
