On Saturday the Wolverines Jr. Varsity team hosted the Forest City Thunderbirds from London at the TAS Field while both the Wolverines Bantams and Sr. Varsity squads enjoyed a Bye weekend. It was a disappointing day for the Jr. Varsity team as they dropped another close decision in losing to the Thunderbirds 22-20 and now their record is 3-3.

The Wolverines played well at times and had a 15-9 lead at the half, however, the Thunderbirds took advantage of Wolverines’ mistakes and came back strong in the second half outscoring the Wolverines 13-5 to seal the victory. Scoring TD’s for the Wolverines were Keegan Crough and Ethan Ross with one each. Keegan Crough added a 17 yard Field Goal and Quinn Clancey converted on two convert kicks. Graeme Heighway added a single point off a punt and the Wolverines recorded a 2 point safety at the end of the game.

This Saturday, July 9th, the Wolverines will host the Toronto Jr. Argos at the TAS Field with the Bantam game at 11 am, the Jr. Varsity game at 2 pm and the final contest will be the Sr. Varsity game at 5 pm.
